His first films were really good and promised good for his career. But since then he has released one flop after another and “The Reckoning” is no exception! The trailer promised well, but when the film lands and I have seen it.
There is nothing good left. The trailer’s demon was cool in the movie too, but everything else was in the tame direction. Despite a playing time of 110 minutes, the film’s characters never get the chance to develop and grow. They are one-dimensional and boring and I do not care if they die or not. The story is old cupboard food and nothing new to cut your teeth in. The film is very uneven and spreads in all directions and edges.
