It is therefore unclear where the film tried to get its mystery and suspense from and for the most part the film is not very uplifting or surprising to watch.
Of course the film tries to mislead you a few times, but the developments and choices that some characters make are so completely idiotic, that they don’t work at all. Even by movie standards, this movie completely misses what works and what doesn’t work as believable enough, within the context of the movie. You will hate the characters rather than go along with them in the choices they make. Not the actors’ fault, but certainly the writer and the two directors, who never manage to make things good or interesting enough for the viewer.
